Lansinoh

Lansinoh was founded by Resheda Hagen more than 20 years ago. When breastfeeding her first daughter she experienced very sore nipples, so a La Leche League Leader recommended lanolin for her sore nipples. At the time it was difficult to buy, especially without added water and chemicals, so as with all great ideas she set about creating her own pure version, and not the pink scented versions the large manufacturers want to make.

So why the name Lansinoh.? Sin is the Latin for without and OH is the chemical symbol for alcohol, hence lan-sin-oh, lanolin without alcohol !

The allergen responsible for lanolin sensitivity is present in the free lanolin alcohol portion of lanolin.? The Lansinoh unique process reduces the free lanolin alcohol proportion to below 1.5% ? other grades of medical lanolin are only able to guarantee a maximum of 6% free lanolin alcohols.
