Maternity Clothes Size Guide

The Everyday Maternity Collection is available from sizes 8 to 22*and has been selected to flatter the pregnant shape. It is recommended that you choose your pre-pregnant size, as the majority of styles have been cut to allow for your changing shape. Those items not suited for late pregnancy or smaller bumps will be highlighted as such. With each brand we sell, we provide a size guide to allow you to order with confidence.

Please note that garment measurements vary according to the design – but a table is provided for each item.

Items sized S, M, L and XL are cut in extra stretchy fabric to fit both size groups.

How to dermine your measurements

Measurement

Measuring Yourself

Measuring the Garment

Bust

Measure over the fullest point of the bust, under the arms and around the widest part of the back/shoulder blades.

The measurement is taken from side seam to side seam directly under the armhole or sleeve. This measurement is then doubled to provide the bust size

Waist

Measure around the thinnest part of the waist, this may not be where you normally wear skirts and trousers as different garments sit lower or higher depending on the style.

The skirt is measured across the waistline with the garment lying flat. The measurement is taken from side to side directly at the waistline. This is then doubled to provide a measurement.

Hip

Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your bottom at the top of the leg

The skirt is measured across the hip with the garment lying flat. The measurement is taken from side to side directly at the hip line. This is then doubled to provide a measurement

Dress - length

The length is taken from the top of the collar to the bottom of the hemline

Trousers - length

This is your inside leg measurement, taken from inside by your crotch to where your trousers are usually worn

The measurement is obtained by measuring from the crotch seam to the bottom of the cuff

Skirt - length

Measure

Measured with the skirt lying flat, from the top of the waistband to the bottom of the hemline

What is your style?

Everyday Maternity stock a number of trousers and skirts styles to suit your own preference. And that is what it comes down to – some people hate the idea of a huge jersey panel over their tummy, but others love the support and comfort it offers.

We’ve provided a style guide below so you can at least make an informed decision.

Full Jersey Panel

Full Jersey Panel
  • Supersoft jersey panel that covers the bump snugly
  • This style sits high on your waist, so provides good coverage of your bump
  • Very comfortable and no drawstrings or tight bands to dig in to a sensitive tummy
  • Some styles include a waistband to allow you to accessorise with belts and feel like you still have a waist

Semi Jersey Panel

Full Jersey Panel
  • A flattering fit – with an adjustable waistband where stated
  • Provides moderate coverage of your bump
  • Ideal for early pregnancy, small bumps and post birth

Roll top jersey panel

Full Jersey Panel
  • This offers the best of both worlds
  • The super super soft jersey waistband can be pulled up over your bump
  • Or if your tummy is feeling a bit sensitive fold it over and wear it under the bump
  • Ideal for late pregnancy, but ideal for after the birth

Under bump

Full Jersey Panel
  • An elasticated waistband with adjustable button elastic
  • Sits low on the waist, snugly under your bump – it provides no coverage of the bump
  • For comfort simply adjust the band by moving to the next buttonhole and take in again after the birth

Jersey side panels

Full Jersey Panel
  • Side adjusters allow a more tailored look
  • Sits on your bump where your natural waist should be

Drawstring Waistband

Full Jersey Panel
  • This offers a casual look that grows (and hopefully shrinks!) as you do
  • Most can be worn under or over your bump
